Reopening Westwood Church
A glimpse of what is to come for our church community.
Westwood Regathering Plan FAQs
We can now meet inside for our 9:00 and 10:30am services. Capacity limits are still at 50% and we are set up to accomodate that with proper distancing in our seating. We will have adequate hand sanitizer available as well as cleaning of high touch areas. We asks our guests to follow city and state guidelines by encouraging the use of masks when indoors, maintaining social distance and not attending if you aren’t feeling well.
Services are paperless, so make sure you have our app, Westwood MN, downloaded on your smart phone to follow along with sermon notes, fill out a prayer request or fill out a Connect Card. We will not be providing coffee or donuts at this point, but you are welcome to bring your own personal beverage in a covered container.
We are offering Uptown KidCity only at the 10:30am service. Our KidCity staff will be sanitizing all surfaces, wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and are ready for an engaging, fun and safe time with your kids. We ask that if your kids are feeling ill, that you stay home until all symptoms have passed.
We will continue to provide both services ONLINE as well.
Which church service should I attend?
You are welcome to attend whichever service serves you and your household best. We are required to keep capacity at 50% at this time, but do not see an issue with keeping attendance under that percentage. We will continue to provide our full services ONLINE. Both service times will be online at 9:00 & 10:30 a.m.
If you do plan on attending services, we want you to know we have done our due diligence to make sure Westwood is a safe and healthy environment. Our seating is socially distanced, we’ll have plenty of hand sanitizer available and will be cleaning high-touch areas between services. Our staff and volunteers will be wearing face masks to help keep everyone safe and comfortable.
If your household is ready to come inside for church, we ask three simple things:
- Please only come if everyone in your household is feeling well.
- Parents, we trust your decision if you feel your little ones can stay with you and maintain social distance. We will have Uptown KidCity at our 10:30am service, but we will not be having any Downtown KidCity.
- We encourage the use of a mask to look after those who are more vulnerable, and to follow city and state guidelines.
Because we are only allowed to open at 50% capacity, we will need to work together as we begin to regather as a church.
How can I connect in a group or to serve in our community?
Visit the I want to connect page or you can contact us directly. For groups, email Pastor Dave at: dave.sautner@westwoodstcloud.
Will there be childcare?
The idea of social distancing is foreign to the youngest of our church family—for that reason we are re-thinking how to support our families during this pandemic.
We are creating a family-friendly environment in our Barn for parents and their kids. We’ll have activities for them to do while you watch the service on the big screen.
Our Parent’s Room outside of the Auditorium is now strictly a Nursing Mothers’ Room. Please leave this space open unless you need it to nurse your child.
Our Uptown KidCity will be available for kids in K- 4 Grade during our 10:30am service. We are unable to offer Downtown KidCity at this point, and we will keep you updated when it is safe to resume Downtown.
Whether you stay with your child in services, utilize our new family-friendly Barn seating area or have your kids attend Uptown at our 10:30am service, we ask that all families stay home if anyone in the family is experiencing any of the following symptoms:
• Fever or feeling feverish
• Shortness of Breath
• Sore Throat
• Muscle Aches
• Loss of Smell or Taste
